How do I know if I’m eligible to enroll in a Diploma qualification with The Redcliffe Aero Club?

Students are required to provide evidence of meeting the below criteria:

  • Are an Australian citizen or permanent resident (provide a colour JP Certified copy of a GREEN Medicare card or Australian Passport or Australian Birth Certificate or Citizenship certificate)
  • You reside in Australia(provide a colour JP Certified copy of a current bank statement with current address, rates notice with current address, lease agreement with current address, phone bill with current address, Driver’s Licence with current address)
  • You meet the Security clearance requirements associated with the Australian Aviation Industry (provide a JP Certified copy of ASIC Security Clearance card or are in the process of applying for or renewal)
  • You have a Current ARN number (issued by CASA)
  • You must meet the Medical requirements associated with the Australian Aviation Industry (provide a coloured JP Certified copy of your CASA Medical)
  • Colour Photo ID (provide a coloured JP Certified copy of your Passport or Driver’s Licence – front and back)
  • You must meet the CASA Licence requirements associated with the Australian Aviation Industry (provide a coloured JP Certified copy of your Recreational, Private or Commercial Pilot Licence)
  • Students have the capability to attend The Redcliffe Aero Club as a full-time student and be able to financially support themselves without working on a full time basis. (Students are required to attend The Redcliffe Aero Club on a full-time basis for the duration of the course, some phases of the training will require Mon-Fri, 5 days a week attendance and other phases may provide some flexibility, however a minimum of 4 days per week is required)
  • You have been assessed as academically suited in English by reaching the below benchmarks set by The Redcliffe Aero Club:
    Providing your Australian Year 12 Certificate
    OR
    Providing evidence of successful completion of an Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma qualification or higher qualification (where the language of instruction is English); in the last 5 years
    OR
    Attend the “Pre-Enrolment Information Session” and participate in the LLN English component in a supervised session, students are allocated four (4) hours to complete the assessment.
    Displaying competence at or above Level 3 for the initial assessment and 55% at the Diagnostic assessment. Percentage is in accordance with the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) in both reading and numeracy through a CSPA (Core Skills Profile for Adults) LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) assessment.
    (Students results are downloaded and provided to students via email or a confidential discussion, students are provided with a second attempt at reaching the benchmark if required)
  • You have been assessed as academically suited in Mathematics by reaching the below benchmarks set by The Redcliffe Aero Club: Attend the “Pre-Enrolment Information Session” and participate in the LLN English component in a supervised session, students are allocated four (4) hours to complete the assessment.
    Displaying competence at or above Level 3 for the initial assessment and 60% at the Diagnostic assessment. Percentage is in accordance with the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) in both reading and numeracy through a CSPA (Core Skills Profile for Adults) LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) assessment.

    In addition, Redcliffe Aero Club must reasonably believe you show competence in completing the course.
